Designed in 2022, VetAmerikan stands as Turkey’s largest and most comprehensive private veterinary facility, encompassing 7,500 m² of interior space across eight floors.
The primary architectural objective was to establish a high-standard environment that addresses the distinct environmental sensitivities of different species. Recognizing that cats and dogs often respond differently to auditory and olfactory stimuli—especially in medical or boarding situations—the spatial organization was developed in accordance with AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) guidelines.
To this end, the building accommodates two independent hospital functions under one roof, with separate entrances, circulation routes, and treatment areas specifically designed for cats and dogs. Material choices, spatial proportions, and overall ambiance were meticulously tailored to the unique physiological and psychological needs of each species, prioritizing comfort and minimizing stress for both animal patients and their human companions.
